WASHINGTON - Oregon has been granted $17 million in federal funding to develop and expand access to high-speed internet service to rural communities.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the funding, through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, will also make affordable broadband services available for thousands of homes.
They say it will provide expanded opportunities for education, healthcare, information exchanges, public safety agencies, public libraries and business development
