But I thought it was kinda cool so I thought I'd share it....Was at a buddys house who has six buffalo he and his wife raise. Been there a few times before but seeing a buffalo is no real big deal in Montana so never paid too much attention. For some reason I felt a need to get a little closer so I asked them if I could touch one of em? His wife says "Hell yes you can" so we go out back and she grabs these "buffalo treats" and the BIG bull is real freindly and he comes right up and eats these right out of your hand and you can pet him on the forehead, etc. This bull is 7' at the hump and a VERY BIG bull....These things are absolutely HUGE....it's hooves are probably 10" in diameter! It's hard to explain how amazed I was at the size and power of these amazing animals, they are truly amazing animals. I left there wiping buffalo snot of my hand and arm but it was well worth it....amazing animals!

My Girlfriend and I were in Yellowstone park last week and seen this buffalo up a small draw so we thought we would sneak up and get a picture. Well we know to stay away from them a ways. We stayed about 50 yards away, and took some video and pictures. Well I was inching my way up a hill to get some better pictures and my girlfriend says Oh S&!* Clay. so I looked up and this guy was standing twenty five feet away. First instinct was to run but a small voice inside me said" Get a Picture". Well I decided to back off a little bit and then take a picture. Here is the one laying down and the one that stood up with no zoom. It is alot closer than it looks in the picture.

i was in jellystone w/a girlfriend of mine years ago and we were sitting on the tailgate of my p/u eating lunch...next thing ya know we hear "clop clop clop clop clop..." and a huge bison sticks his nose around the corner of the p/u...needless to say, we grabbed our lunch and moved to the other side of the tailgate til he got bored and moved on. funny animals (us that is) :)
