It was awfully hot, and the first mountainside I hiked turned out to be worthless. I drove to the other side of the valley and thought this was all I was going to find:

Nope. I caught a glimpse just up the trail.

Which turns out to be this:

Wow! The biggest I have found. Now, I had to find the other side... 90 minutes later, hiking up, down, and around this litte ridge:

Ahhh..Was it broken? I couldn't tell with it laying half under that little tree:

Gorgeous. Here they are posing by the rig.

The antlers turned out to be just 60 feet apart - just a few trees making me sweat it out. I reckon it's worth it for a 370'ish set! What? Look how far they are from wheel before you ask that question. Beams go 59 for a point of reference. Enjoy!

LAST EDITED ON Jun-30-07 AT 08:32PM (MST)[p]Thanks. I got myself back up to the same area again today to look for his buddies' antlers or his old ones. I did see a 4 bulls up there the other day. I found one side from this same bull from last year. I ran out of water (and heat tolerance) before I could find the second side. Horses had gnawed on the base quite a bit - I won't post it until I find the other side - with the temps 10 degrees higher than normal it might be awhile.

That's a great find...I could see those going 370ish for sure. Lots of tine length and great main beam with mass...wouldn't surprise me if they go a little higher.
