Sometimes they just maim, break ribs, puncture the bowels, leave gashes above the eyes, disfigure the ear and cause a 5 year old's intestines to hang out, ...

I can just hear it now: "It's all about how you raise it, my pit is the most gentle dog on the planet. I let my kids crawl all over him!"

Exactly why I will not consider a "rescue dog" as a pet for my kids.

I will never understand why someone would get a pitbull when there are so many other dog choices out there. I mean if your ding is so small you need to compensate somehow you could always just do what most people with this affliction do and get your Ford lifted and put stacks in the bed.

My cousin had a great pit bull dog. My kids would crawl all over him and play with him. When the dog was about 6 he bit a kids face and it was the last day the dog was ever around. I would never have a pit bull around again.

What a terrible thing to happen to a little one. It is a shame that a child had to suffer for his parents' stupidity. Who in the @#%$ would adopt a pit bull from a shelter when you have a 5 year old, much less leave them alone together?

Can't help but wonder if this will make Davis County rethink their policy on adopting pit bulls.
