Northern Utah Regulations....?

Hey any local northern utah residents, or also those that may know the regulations I could use a little help with some clarification. Just to make sure that i am not "breaking any of the rules". I am living up here now going to school so i am anxious to learn more country up north.
So the way i understand it the two regulations that i have heard about is....everyone needs a shed hunting permit now? and you can't pick up any sheds from Feb. 1 to April 30 ??
Am i understanding this correctly? (If i am way off i would be a little embarrassed) Any other stuff I need to be made aware of? Thanks everyone....

yes you need a permit. however tards will be tards. and tards dont follow rules

You only need the permit to shed hunt between Feb. 1 to April 30.

I'm a fellow Northern Utah Shed hunter. So maybe I can help you out a bit. First of all, there are a bunch of state lands called "WMAs". For Example: East Canyon WMA, Henefer Echo WMA, Middle Fork WMA, ect. These properties are public but they are closed to ALL access in the winter. These properties open up the second saturday in April every year. Until then, NO ONE should be in these areas. They are critical winter range properties owned and managed by the state specifically for wintering game. So don't try and hunt those places or you will get busted.
Now if you have access to private property or if you want to shed hunt the Wasatch front, or Nation Forest property, you can do that whenever you want. But... You have to have a permit if you want to do it before April. So, basically you can shed hunt when you want in Northern Utah as long as you have a permit and you stay away from the WMAs until April.
