I have a snub nose 45-70 revolver.....I have only shot W-W factory loads and I know winchester doesn’t do high power in 45-70 because of their fear of old trap doors being used......

Recoil with those loads are disappointingly mild

Well....mine is never going with me as protection against anything....I shot it this weekend more than I ever had before....I had 2 true “jams”. The cylinder would lock up...and only banging and beating would break it lose to again function.

Did You Check to see if the Bullets were sticking clear through the Cylinder in to the Barrel?
