What unit would you suggest to use your points for a diy elk hunt with a good opportunity to take a nice bull? Thanks

What do you consider nice and how many points? if you don't have max points you can write off most of the better units.

Thanks,kinda looking for 300 class bulls for enjoyable hunt with son..We have 4 points now so the premium units aren't to probable,just looking for a quality diy hunt..

with 4 points you're probably looking at one of the units in the Bighorns (35,38,39). There is some rough country there and you won't be alone. No Griz and few wolves though. Access is pretty good too. If you work at it you can probably find a bull or 2 of that caliber. Good luck. Chip

JMHO, but I would put in the Special Draw unit 31 and general second choice. pretty good chance of drawing the general. Hunt the fringes of the wilderness in the NW corner of the state with the general until you get enough points to draw a premium unit.
