OK I need some serious help. Yah see, during deer season here in Oregon I was hunting this big ol' south facing hill side sidehilling it. And my hunting buddy was a a few hundred yards north of me on the ridge line. I ended up not doing too much hunting because I kept finding ALL these sheds and they kept taking away all my concentration seeing how they were the first sheds I have ever found. All in all I think I found around 15 sheds some old and some new. So me and my buddy decided to head on out there this last weekend just to get away a bit. The entrance to the place is an old 2 track road and there was only our tracks from deer season. This time we were there I didn't see any fresh sign of people being in there, but needless to say we found One old @ss shed and that was it and we hiked all over the place for 5 hours. WHAT GIVES does anyone have a clue????????? I was thinking maybe the deer did not have to winter there this year seeing it was not to rough of a winter here in Oregon.. Oh also a couple of the sheds I did find (3 to be exact)look like they came from a white tail. I will try and post the pics this weekend. Please let me have your insite I'm very confused....
Thanks Curtis

My first guess would be the snow levels were different this year...to much snow and they may be lower..No snow and they may be higher. I would say fluke if you found all the sheds from the same year. But being that you found old and new, I bet they wintered really close. check other south facing slopes close by. To bad you didnt scout the area in jan-feb to see if they wintered there.
Later, Brandon
