I AM A RIGHT HAND SHOOTER AND I LOST SOME VISION IN MY RIGHT EYE. I HAVE BEEN COCKING MY HEAD OVER TO SHOOT WITH MY LEFT. I GOT USED TO IT BUT MY NECK STARTS TO HURT. I DO NOT WANT TO SHOOT LEFTY. CAN I GO WITHOUT A PEEP AND BE ACCURATE? THANKS

I would say yes. As long as your anchor point is exactly the same each time. I'm assuming you would remove the peep to gain light and still shoot with your dominant/right eye?
I usually try to have two anchor points for added consistency. Like a kisser button and sticking my right thumb behind my jaw bone, and also a peep.
Practice, practice, practice. :)

I have a No-Peep from Timberline Archery. It is a little gizmo that sits next to your sight. It has a ring and dot that are magnified. You don't look through it, only see it next to your sight to tell if your alignment is the same every shot. If the dot is not in the center of the ring you're out of alignment.

My guess is that you could get it to work with your left eye.

If you live in the Salt Lake area you could borrow mine to see if it would work for you. I also have a bunch of left handed bows you can try :)

I have not used a peep in years. I shoot finger release and set my sights up so that I draw until my index finger rests right on the corner of my mouth. I shoot tight groups out to 50 yards using this method. I shot 30 to 40 shots a day for about four months to become completely comfortable and confident. If you use a release, I have no clue if this will still work or not.

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS. I JUST BOUGHT A NEW BOW SO GOING LEFTY IS OUT OF THE QUESTION. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
