anybody know much about this unit for trophy potential? NW of Clayton. in n.e. corner. any general info on expected etc...would be appreciated.....allen Taylor......

Allen-its been a few years but we used to outfit in 58. Was tough to break 72-75 at best. Not sure what the problem is. You cross the highway to the west or move toward Capulin and Raton and the quality gets better.

I think the description given about breaking 72-75 is spot on, a real nice hunt though for sure. I just wouldnt expect anything real big.

I killed the biggest buck on the ranch we were assigned, scouted for 2 days prior and didnt see anything bigger and I looked at every antelope on that ranch. Wife killed one that was 72 2/8, mine was 75 4/8 gross:
