Long time MM lurker, but now need some direct guidance/ tips.
Drew 45 FAD, Archery, in NM. I live near here and have scouted a decent bit but would love to hear anyone’s stories or tips for the unit, and this time of year. I’ve bow hunted for MD in OR and CO but never found success. Planning on hiking in 2-4 miles and having a spike base camp on the north end of the unit, but hear good things about the southern half (?).
I’m after general success, not necessarily trophies.
(I live at 7k and hike at 10+ regularly so, yes I’m aware)
