The deer sheds gross 175". The elk sheds gross 383" broken. If the sheds matched side to side your looking at a potential 400" bull.

great 'finds', you guys...good pic, too. is that a 'this years' bull'? i can never tell cuz it seems most of the 'southwest' critters have lighter colored antlers than we do here in the 'northwest'...regardless, terrific bull, and buck...congratulations, again...by the way, welcome to MM, and hope to see a lot more of your pics...

No these are last years sheds but have good color on one side.

What do those animals eat that allows them to grow such big racks of bone? With the lack of moisture how to they survive? Are there mountains nearby with a snowpack? Thanks for posting the photos.
 
Last year we had decent moisture so it was a good year for horn growth but there is no snow pack on any surrounding mountains this year.
