Nikon scopes

I am looking to upgrade my scope on my 300 SM. I currently have leupold vxII 3x9. My local pro shop has a nikon monarch bdc 5.5x16.5 on sale for $339. It seems to be a good deal but just wanted some more opions, and wondered if there was something else out there in that price range that I should look into before making any decisions. I am looking for something that I can dial in better at long ranges and any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Scott

Why not go with anything but Leupold? Monarch all the way...sounds like a very fair price.
