Nikon 1200 Gold Rangefiner

LAST EDITED ON Feb-09-10 AT 09:54PM (MST)[p]I am finally ready to buy a rangefinder. I have been shopping online and feel like the Nikon Monarch 1200 Gold seems like a nice one for the $$. Have any of you had any experience with this model? I will mainly use it for archery, hunting rock chucks, and big game rifle hunts. I figure the 1200 is an over kill for archery, but I only want to buy one and use it for everything.

Any input would be appreciated.

I have that same rangefinder and it works really well for me. Would definitely recommend it for the money. Its easy to hold steady and get ranges with. I like the distance for planning stalks.

i have the luepold RXII and it woulds amazing for rifle and bow. i use it for rock chucks all the time in the summer
