Newcastle weather

Wondering what the weather has been like this winter around Newcastle. Getting ready to enter the Antelope draw, last year the Lope #'s were way down due to the weather. Just going for Doe/fawn tags this year.

The winter has been pretty mild. There was about 5-6" of snow this week, but it has not been bad. South of town should be fine and the Black Hills don't have a lot fo snow, but winter could still hang on for a while up there.

Two suggestions---If you want to just get doe/fawn tags, you could probably get on a ranch for free in unit 23 or go over to the far west side by the Powder River to fill those tags. If you want to hunt strictly public land, I'd put in for unit 27. Both of those units are in good shape number wise for goats.
