LAST EDITED ON Nov-17-06 AT 09:27AM (MST)[p]Drenaline, 1 1/8" limbs, 320 ibo, Looks good. I wonder how long they will last on the racks? Sorry, not switchback, matthews.

Save a few hundred bucks and buy a used switchback on ebay. They didn't change much and raised the msrp $50. Mighty nice of ol mathews. They still can't make a 36" bow for the hunters that want a more stable bow.

They did. It was called the lx. People stopped buying them so they stopped making them. Still the best bow mathews made.

It shows up on the Mathews site as a production bow, as well as a discontinued model - so who knows what its "official" status is. I do know that I won't be trading mine in anytime too soon - I love that bow!

I held one yesterday evening....very sweet bow. Can't wait to shoot it. There are a lot of differences than the switchback from what the store owner said as well as Mathews website. I was in to look at the HOyt's new Vectrix and discovered the drenaline...

I was impressed by both, but the mathews felt lighter in the hand and I liked the draw cycle better. Has anyone gotten their hand on Hoyt's 38 ultra yet? That looks to be a great bow for those that mentioned they wanted a longer axle to axle for more stability.

Anyone shot an drenaline or a vectrix yet?

Thanks!

i shot the drenaline and i was not impressed with it,, i have a switchback xt and in my opinion its better,i would not trade my xt for the drenaline....i will shoot the vectrix tomarrow..cbryant

I shot the Drenaline today, to me if felt alot like my switchback but with more speed. ohhh, and it was noticably lighter. I liked it but Im not going to be buying a new bow for atleast a couple more years.

Im a big Mathews fan and I am also upset they didnt offer a longer bow, I shoot a 31" draw and would like to see their new bows offered in the longer DLs. Not that I would trade in My Switchback LD just yet but in a year or two when they hit ebay as outdated models I could pick one up cheap.
