New string

I just got a new string put on my bow. After shooting with it, my arrows are hitting high and left. I expected to have to make some adjustments so no big deal. After significantly moving my sights, the arrows are still hitting high and left. I asked the guy at the local shop and he said it will take 50-100 shots for the string to get used to my bow, then my sights will be on. I've never heard of this, has anyone else? I'm not sure I trust this guy, but wanted some other opinions.

It's Bush's fault!!!

He is sort of right....the string will take 100-300 shots to settle in and stretch. This can vary according to the quality of string you put on.

You will most likely not be hitting in the exact same spot as your old strings, if you do you are the luckiest person in the world. After they are shot in, it is possible to twist the strings and cables to get them to the same spot as they were before. This requires marking your cam or cams and taking several measurements before you take the old string and cable off.
