NEW MEXICO SHEDS

I will be on a family vacation in New Mexico in March and was wanting to do some hiking and it would be a bonus to find some sheds. I was wondering if there are any special regs to follow. Is march to early to be looking.

There is not really any special regs other than taking home a dead head. The game wardens will give you a hard time. March is a little too early, I would go in april. There is a lot more sheds on the ground then. This year while turkey hunting (which is in April) we found over 20 sheds. All elk sheds. I even found one off the highway.
