just got back from a new area i scouted on google earth and about 10 maps that i studied for hours haha.

found tons of rock chucks, prong horns, elk, chuckers, coyotes, and of course deer including several nice 4 points still packing heat.

we found 8 sheds, 2 were browns, and a real nice dead head! take a look. i didnt take pics of the sheds because they were 3 points and a couple old old broken up fours

I have never tried the wam stuff myself, but check out a few other options. taxidermists can clean them up and make them look better than they ever were.

Beautiful pics... Good looking dead head, and good looking dog! you teaching him how to find some horns? thanks for sharing. I am sure that you will head back with what you saw. You will have to keep us posted.

Finding a deadhead like that makes all of the map studying worth while. Did Tank retrieve the deadhead? fatrooster.

Cool it is always great when the new area works out. Makes all that studying worth it. Most my new areas just end with a lot of mile put on and no sheds. That dead head is cool too.

well the dead head is bad luck on my part and good on my buddies part. I was hiking to near a canyon rim looking down in. on my right was my buddy about 20yds away looking in some brush. somehow i got cell service and i got a random phone call. the wind was blowing up the canyon wall to my left so i answered the phone not knowing who it was and turned my back to the wind for just a second so i could hear. my buddy thought i was talking to him so he looked over at me. 15 yards in front of me behind some brush where i coulnt quiet see it yet was the deadhead. he spotted it right under my feet pretty much because of a freak phone call. haha oh well, he did good.

and Tank didnt retrieve the dead head but i did find a nice three point and he kept bringing it to me as i tried to get an ATL. i would walk away a bit for a pic and turn around and there he was wagging his tail. haha
