There's a country song out on the radio that is a re-make of an 80's song and for the life of me I can't put my finger on who sung it in the 80's. Does anyone know which song I'm thinking of? I checked on the top 40 Country music charts and its not there yet. It's only been out like two weeks.....somebody help me out please. Thanks.

Can you narrow it down a little by humming a few bars?

Tag- If I could remember a few bars I'd look it up on Youtube! Sheesh.....I saw two replies and got my hopes up.

The song is sung by a woman.

Even if you only have a few words you could google it... Now I'm curious....all I listen to is Country and I'm drawing a blank(which isn't too unusual).

I don't know the song, who sings it, or who sang I back then...

But I did stay at a Holiday Inn one time.

*Original or First Hit Version - In some cases the "original" version was a flop, and shortly after, a major artist recorded the song and had a hit, (especially in the 1950s & '60s). Most of these are the first "well known" versions of the song even if it wasn't the very first.

**Best Cover Version - Not necessarily "better" than the original hit, but the best of all the covers done of the song.

Good God, Terry!!

Compromise, hell! ... If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?

Well yeah - now that you tell us which one it is I guess it was really obvious!

Oh by the way - have you seen that one show with the guy from the other show that was on that other show from the 80's and is kind of like that one cop show where they chased bad guys?

Can't remember the name of it - if you could help I would appreciate it.

In the long list of songs I couldn't help but notice the name Warren Zevon. I guess I thought his reign of horrible songs ended at Werewolves Of London, though it is a catchy jingle.
