On our long hike in the 3 inches of new snow we got today I didnt think that we were going to find anything. Then 20 yrds down the trail Nessie found an antler just off the trail. She saw it first and brought it to me. However its possible that I would have seen it since it was on the path I was headed. Then on the way down she came up behind me holding the antler on the left in the pic... This is the first time I didnt see where she got the antler from, she nudged me in the back of the leg with it as I was walking down the mountain. I was very surprised, i first thought the antler fell out of my pack
So several hikes and some close first antlers for ness... I am going to call this her very first shed because with out her I would have never even seen this antler. Hopefully she keeps improving like this. Here is a pic of a moose palm we found the day before
