I was able to finally head up Sat at about 6pm and was welcomed with crazy winds on top of the mountain. I went directly up and sat in a spot in the basin I'm hunting. Didn't see anything. Headed up about 500 feet to the ridge to set up my tent. Didn't even need a headlamp for the hike back or setting up the tent because of the moon. Today didn't see anything but a doe scouting in the morning. Still hunted the afternoon and only spooked up a few more does. I went back to the tent to get some sleep because last night I hardly slept at all because the wind was blowing so hard. So I woke up to rain coming through the top of the tent. Hopped out and put the rain fly on real quick. Later in the afternoon had a good 4x4 with eye guards and his old 2x2 buddy at 35 yards today, but had too much brush in the way to take a shot. Was hoping I would of had a shot but it was chaos with them moving and a hurricane going on. I got rained off the mountain with a vengence. When I came back to my tent after that fiasco, my rain fly had blown off and my sleeping bag had puddles of water on it and was soaked. So I called it a day and decided to come home and dry off. I'll probably head back up there tomorrow afternoon.
But anyway, here is the photo
