I took my wife on a little hike to look for sheds at my dad's cabin. She has not ever really liked all my hunting that much but she has been VERY understanding. When we started hiking I told her to spread out a little and we could cover more ground. With a big smile she said she was just out for a hike and didn't care if we found any horns. After about a half an hour of her walking right behind me she said "hey look" and when I turned she had this shed up on her head. She said I almost stepped on it and didn't see it. After finding this nice shed she decided she would spread out a little. I think she almost kind of got into it. A couple of times I caught her looking under bushes and trees and I almost laughed. She has been so good about letting me have my own time to hunt and I thought it was cool that she could see in a small way what I am always so excited about. She won't admit it but I think she had fun. (It didn't hurt that all I found was a tiny two point! I probably won't ever hear the end of that!)

Hey great find
My wife was the same way when we went into the woods shed hunting. It is funny how they hate it at first but learn to love it.Hunting is hard at first for some women but shed hunting and other forms of outdoors adventures always seems to help them learn more about the hunting sport.

I just started shed hunting about 2 years ago. When I go out on the easy trips into the pasture I like to take my two little girls with me one is 3 and one is 5. When I spot a horn I walk over and pretend I'm taking a break. It doesn't take long for one of them to spot it. I praise them and give them hugs and kisses. Now both of my daughters love to look for sheds as much as I do.
