Posted in elk section as well, but it is archery so here we go. Shot this bull on the fourth day of my hunt this year. I had passed on a 4X5 and a couple of spikes. Had been seeing some really good bulls, but had only 2 days left to hunt. I had decided any 5-point or better was going to get shot this day, and any bull the next.
Got into a lot of bulls that morning, wind was wrong but they were coming up a draw with the wind blowing down, perfect ambush except for the wind. Got down by the creek and it was pulling the wind into it, we had a chance.
My cousin was with me to video, and yes we got it all on film. Have not gotten it off the tape yet, will post when I do.
The bull went by at 40 yards uphill, had to do some moving to get there. Stopped him with a cow call by mouth, put the 30 pin on him and let her go. He crashed off stumbling and did not go 50 yards. I hit him perfect. Took the top off his heart, complete pass through, never found the arrow. 100 grain Rocky mountain Titaniums, Matthews bow.

Scored 317ish, with a 3 1/2" g5, and only a 12" g4 on the same side, also had a 2" devil point on his browtine. Was pretty excited to get this bull. Love that archery hunting.

I shot this bull on a private ranch in SE Utah. Have hunted it for 6 years now. They turned it into a CWMU this year. Give it a few years and this place could really produce some great bulls, but we will have to see. Klled him on the 28th of Sep. Wish the DWR would let us hunt he general season so long. I also guided on this ranch this year, some great bulls were taken and seen.

Nice Bull! Sounds like it was an awsome hunt also. I've just started archery hunting this year but never got a chance to go for elk. Hope that I get a chance at something like that some year! Good job, I'll look for that video.
