I was raised listening to Jim Reeves. I could never say to elementary school friends HIS Name. But somehow the Young Girls all came back to me, in private, knowing I could not say Jim Reeves whilst the Monkeys and Beetles were the spoken social groups, via 1960's Music.

OK, Once corner, in Private, with only Girls, I did say Jim Reeves.

In my mind I thought they would all walk away referring to me as a Looser. I Knew they liked me Physically but, heck, Girls had Coodies.

Anyway, once I said Jim Reeves, they melted (Joys)


If you drive then you might consider all his songs.

WHY do I admit such special personal matters to you old farts ??

Tomorrow I walk my Daughter, down the isle in her Wedding.

I can barely walk 25 yards, yet this Church has a 100 yd Isle.

Pry I have the inner power. I need to concur this feat.

Mom left to start the wedding stuff. I have but a couple Hours then I head their way.

Eel; as soon as I clicked on your link (Beatles) Mom jumped out of bed and danced the Twist.

After I have a slow dance with my Daughter, Dances pick up to this type then later, the lower one. I pray to survive.

Both Bride & Groom have Excellent Credit scores, have bought a Home and Groom's Family owns downtown high rise buildings and Orchards.

He is a GREAT Man and I am Honored to soon have him as family.

Congrats Jag now you have a son, or a son of sorts. Walked my little girl down the aisle about 10 years ago and Elk if right what a hangover. I walked around with a half gallon of Tequila and gave everyone shots including the Aunties and Uncles.

I've seen pics on the book of faces of the bride and groom, but so far no pics of the father of the bride! Just sayin!

I wish to say, to everyone on this forum and, with my highest respect and humbleness say: Thank Each of You for your Posts.

I gave my ( Middle of Three = Heidi ) Daughters hand away in Marriage. Last May my Son Married. Now I/we have Stefanie remaining, she is pictured in front of the Catholic Church.

Heidi was very worried for this last Year if I would be physically capable of walking her down the Isle. I did it and was feeling great. I had a Right Ear infection which prevented me from hearing much. The normal Catholic Church sit, stand, sit, stand etc.. was physically taxing but I did it without anyone noticing me (Terrible Pain).

However, later when escorting my Wife and the grooms Mother back up the isle and out the front doors, my lower Left hip stopped working. I needed to sit but there was nothing around. The grooms Father held my Left hand and Stefanie, my youngest ( and she is a Firefighter ) held my Right hand.

They said "I had" to circle the Church and go back for pictures. The pain was so strong and my legs not working, I had no option than to fight forward. I knew I could achieve pain relief if I laid down upon the Cement. However, if in a suit I did so, it would alarm everyone. I would rather die trying than seeking comfort. Possibly Winston Churchill whispered in my ear: NEVER GIVE UP .. ? :)

By the time I was back in the Church for pictures, I collapsed on a front row bench and tried to catch my wind. It was my Left sciatic nerve (the longest nerve in your body. It starts in your lower back and splits to run through your hips, buttocks, legs, and feet on both sides). I did recover and took part in various Wedding family Photographs.

My Daughter teared up and was Proud of ole Dad. Yet she saw in me that the series of activities took a major toll on me. We did our Father Daughter Dance at the Alter. I was in no condition to stay or even walk to the rest of the Day/Evening dinners, dancing, etc... My Daughter knew I needed to go Home.
Yes folks, I departed. I had to be somewhat carried to my Truck. I and my F-150 Twin Turbos, drove Home, all alone.

I did my role and have learned, decades ago; to accept the unacceptable when it is out of your control ( Like Sids, Fatal Vehicle accidents, Officer Involved Shootings and endless more ).

I failed to get back to this Post until today simply because I could not sit and type for days after the Wedding. What Joy's and a Heart Felt Thanks did I get today from all of you whom have made your own Posts here. Again; THANK YOU.

Feddoc; The last Remaining Daughter shown in the Picture alone in front of the Church is who you spoke to. DW, I wasn't a Buttercup all that much :) Just slightly.

Thank you Elk for being Personable.

There was a Photographer so no one really took pictures on their own. I attached what few I have.

The only picture I have of my Daughter and I, will not upload. I don't know why. When I get the Professional Photographs, I shall offer them.
