My Depression

Since I'm nearing 80 next month, I was feeling a bit depressed last night, almost hoping I had a good number of pain pills. Instead, I googled 'depression help' & found the # for the 'Let Us Cheer You Up' organziation.

I dialed the 800#. A recording came on, telling me to press 1 for English, which I did.

A guy answered with a very heavy Mid-Eastern accent. "Hello, my name is Herman. May I help you feel better about yourself?"

I asked 'Herman' where he was located.

He said, "Pakistan." Then he again asked if he could help me.

I told him about my depression.

He immediately asked if I had contemplated suicide.

When I said I had thought a bit about it, he got very excited. "Oh good, good. Can you drive a Toyota truck with a stick shift?"

I hung up. Even though I know how, I'm partial to Dodge's.

I would rather apply for a pilots job in the taliban air force……they have planes now I think.

You don’t even have to learn to land.
I had thought about adding something about being able to fly a passenger jet but thought it too sacreligious, so to speak.

Of course, I know you are aware that Japan holds the distinction for inventing the one-way pilot.
