My Arguement

OK, I know there are a lot of you who think that the draw has ended. Maybe so, but look at this arguement:

AndymanSavage posted the following from the DWR website:

"Description Weapon Permits available
on June 17*
Resident & nonresident buck deer, Northern Region Muzzleloader/Any legal weapon 5,500"

Here is what we (wife son and me) applied for:

1 permit Muzz deer Northern Region
1 permit Any Weapon deer Northern Region
1 CWMU- Deer
1 CWMU- Deer
1-LE Elk
1-Youth any Bull hunt

I have a hit for $280 (for the elk) and only one hit for $35
which would be for one of the 4 applied for deer hunts.
I understand that to draw one of the CWMU hunts for us would
be tough, I would assume, according to the "leftover tags", that we would be guaranteed to draw 2 Northern Tags and not just one???

Isn't CWMU permits more? I have heard of more than one person not get Northern General deer tag. They either drew all, some may have put northen region for 2nd choice or they are still doing draws. My bet they are done drawing. have not heard of any recent card charges.

That is pretty screwy. I'm surprised they are anouncing the leftover tags already. Hopefully you drew and they are just behind getting all the cards charged.

Worst case is that there was a problem with the aplication and thrown out. Let us know how it pans out.

You haven't provided enough info to say for sure but I think your draw results are possible if the following scenario is correct to your application.

If you put in for the LE elk tag and a northern general tag.

Your son for the youth hunt and a CWMU.

Your wife for CWMU and northern general.

You had drawn your first choice so it will not default to your second choice.

Your son did not draw either tag.

Your wife got either a CWMU or the Northern general.

Me: Northern Deer and CWMU

Son: Northern Deer, CWMU Deer, Youth Elk

Wife: LE Elk

For sure my wife drew elk. The other tags????

Well I can tell you one thing, I am an idiot. I researched my apps- again and have no record of applying for the General tag.
I have no idea why I didn't apply, thus proving myself an idiot.

Oh well the LE Elk tag with 2 points is a good consolation lol..
