I have been shooting my Knight Bighorn for years. My dad has always used musket caps and so that is what i have used. I have been checking out the 209 primers. Does anyone have experience or advice. Which are better?

After musket cap misfires cost me at least a couple of bulls, I switched my Knight ignition to the 209 and have never had a misfire since. Knock on wood, my son is using it in 3 weeks.

I have used Muskett Caps on my Bighorn as well and I leaned that the RSW (I think that is what they are) caps are better than the CCI caps. On my new CVA Accura I am using the 209's.

The 209's are more reliable, but make a big mess. I still use them but be prepared to do a cleaning job on the mountain. That is if you shoot like me and never hit anything the 1st shot. Seriously though, they are great but I find myself cleaning my gun every 6-8 shots. I am not talking about a total scrub down, just a simple wipe down.
