Muleys in thick pines

Hi, Im new to the forum and I was wondering if hunting muleys in thick pines is good terrain for the bow hunt. Ive never hunted archery before so I wouldnt know. What elevations would they stick around. Are they usually higher or lower in late august. Any tips would help.

In late August, my favorite place to hunt them is at or above timberline. I try to get above them, and then stalk them after they have bedded for the day.

In late August they should be as high as they can go. This is just what I know from my area, but I'm pretty sure its true pretty much everywhere.

Depending on where you're hunting, you can definately find them in the pines during the early archery season......these weren't the size I was looking for in Arizona, but they stuck around long enough for a photo.

Thanks for the tips. I Live up here in northern utah. Cache valley to be precise. I know a lot of places where I can Hike up on ridges in thick pines wich would seem like good spots.

If it's Hot the Deer will be in the shade during the day. Is there shade in the Pines? Hmmmmmmmmm Good Luck
