In April a few years ago I saw a group of 5 bucks and 4 of them still had both antlers, but the biggest bodies buck had shed both. When we finally found one side from this big buck, there was evidence of a heated sparring match with lots of scuffs on the ground. However, I've been hearing from several guys that they are seeing bucks with only one antler in southern Utah. I'm thinking some of them may be shedding early this year. On the strip, you've got to remember that there is a whole bunch of ground out there, and not very many deer. Even if you find a group of bucks together your chances of finding any sheds are slim to none. Good luck - and if you find anything, be sure to post pictures.
