Mule deer Doing Well?

I just saw the Fish and Game website that said the deer on the Eastern portion of the state did well through the winter and they project a good season.

Is that what everyone is seeing I thought there was a big die off because of the bad winter or was that just on the western portion of the state

The bad winter was essentially west of the Continental Divide where the herds took a big hit.

Doing great over here. Just got some great wet snow and the range should get a nice flush of growth for the fawns and calves dropping in the near future.

East side did good this winter and the antler growth is looking great. This is one of the smaller bucks by my house.

East of the divide game and fish for the first time in history had to bring roll off dumpsters for us to clear dead deer of our lawns

We could fill ten more with dead deer along drainages and fence lines

Allot were just piled up and set fire to with stacks of pallets

I don't know where you live east of the divide that you didn't have dead deer all over your pasture, corrals, lawn, etc.
Hell you can't go get the mail without passing rib cages, like hell it was west of the divide only
