MT "experts" mystified.......

I think the article was just stating that it isn't normal for this healthy prime age male to come in to such close proximity to people. It obviously wasn't doing it for lack of food as the USFWS guy said it wasn't eating them.
I remember the same thing happening up near Eureka to some llamas, long before wolves and decreased deer numbers were even an issue. I think those cats look at a llama and that giant neck, and just say "why not"? It's too easy.
 
+1. It was just bringing out that the particular cat was big and healthy, but not acting like a cat should by killing animals in those numbers and not feeding on them. Maybe it was a wolf in cat's clothing! Seriously though, I have no idea what the cat population is out there, but the residents along with the G&F should know if there are too many and act accordingly.
 
Oh, they know. I saw what the new quotas are going to be in R1, wow. They are going to put the boots to em, next year. If it gets approved.
