Mr. Eelgras to the phone

At First I saw a Sturgeon ( https://www.solemanfishing.com/sturgeon_fishing.html ), which I would dislike being eaten by a Sea Maggot, A Destructive animal far worst than the Liberals releasing Wolves into the Hills.

Then I Thought I saw a Leopard Shark as being Eaten. I would like that better than a Sturgeon "BUT" ... the Bay has drastically changed. I used to catch Leopard Sharks so easily, it was a problem to catch anything else unless it was a Larger Leopard Shark worthy of "A Body Size" = to making Beef Steak Sized Slices. Kid's, Neighbors, everyone loves Free Leopard Shark Steaks. But, the good Food dried up https://baynature.org/article/sharks-dying-san-francisco-bay/

Yet, every City Dweller Loves Sea Lions. I Dislike them and Otters. See https://www.sfgate.com/whales-shark...es-sf-bay-pier-39-13704463.php#photo-17093350

I have a 44-40 that was Greased by Sea Lion Fat long before Sea Lions were cute, warm, so loving by a Population whom never competed with them whilst catching Salmon. Hence the term Maggot. Sea Lions and Otters can dive, somehow locate, everything from a Sea Urchin, Clam to ? and kill it then, Play with it. Scroll through the Pictures of the above link. Do your own research. Hug a Sea Lion, an Otter.

Will you dine tonight upon Sturgeon... ? Salmon...? Sea Urchin...? Oysters...? Crabs (ALL an easy catch for Sea Lions, just like Abalones)... Growing up next to and IN our Pacific Ocean kinda means my thoughts might be different then those growing up, far inland. This Life of mine does not, repeat: NOT... Diminish any one's Home Town, Family, City, State etc. No Jokes of a negative foundation needs to be today's Funny Guy Poster. This reply is upon my Friends Feddoc's link. Sooo Sorry for so much Verbiage.

Disclaimer.. No Sea Lion's/Otters were harmed in the Posting of this post. Invasive Species are around every corner. Beanman understands such on a Microscopic/Genetic Basis. Elk understands such on a Human basis.

Hugs
Jagerdad :)

I was kayak fishing by myself about 1/2 mile off Trinidad one day. A big male California sea lion surfaced in front of me about 20' away. He rose up out of the water and lunged toward me. He came crashing down and dove underneath me. I never saw him again. I started fishing my way back to the harbor.
