The Sevier County Sheriff?s Office is looking for a man who has been seen in the Seven Mile/ UM Creek area near Fishlake. The man we are looking for is Troy Knapp. 44 year old Knapp deleted the pictures from a hunters trail camera in the UM Creek area two weeks ago.
Law enforcement has been searching for Knapp for the last couple years in Iron and Kane Counties after he broke into several cabins in the Duck Creek area. Recent evidence puts Knapp in Beaver, Piute, and Sevier Counties. Several more cabin burglaries in these areas are similar to Knapp?s unusual behavior.
We are looking to capture him for the burglaries and fire arms thefts he has committed over the years. Knapp tends to stay away from the public unless he is cornered. We do know Knapp is carrying at least one rifle and a pistol. If any citizens happened to see Knapp or find one of his caches, please contact the local law enforcement immediately. If you can please get a picture of what you see and a gps coordinate so we can go to the area. Do not make contact with Knapp unless you have to.
Knapp has some distinct tattoos on his neck and one of his hands. See the attached wanted poster of him. Also are some pictures of what his camp or cache may look like.
