Mount sheds

I don't want to pay $100 for one of mt mikes skull reproductions and I don't have an old skull. So my question is: what have you used to mount sheds on a plaque?

Na, that looks OK. I got a shed out elk skull that I'll give you if you pay the shipping...just trying to help...

I will tell you this much; you will regret doing it. I've done two Mt Mikes and two with another euro form I picked up from a taxidermy supply and the Mt. Mikes are hands down 100% easier to do. Not that I don't like the other mounts, but between the bondo, and letting it set long enough to cure, and then trying to get everything to line up correctly, you are time and money ahead just getting the Mt. Mikes. Save your coins for a few months and do it.

Thanks for the advice. After looking at it, I probably am in it quite a bit when considering all of the extra parts and time (which seems less and less each day). I did find some of Mt Mikes repro's for less.
