Most of my '08 Finds.

Hey everyone, its been a little dead in here so I figured I would post up some pics of all my "keeper" sheds. I ended up with 220 deer sheds, but these pics were taken at the end of april and I found about 70 more deer sheds this fall and I dont have pics of them. Here is the 100 or so that I packed out last spring. I also found 44 elk sheds this year and you can see them in the back. This was by far the best year I have ever had.

Here is a couple good ones with super long G2 points the white horns G2 is 17"s long and the brown horn's G2 was 19 1/4"s

These are the best two horns I found this year, both bucks would score in the 190's sadly I have not been able to find the matchs. They are both 5 points and the horn in my left hand has a 20" G2 I found it about 70 yards from the 19 1/4" g2 horn in the picture above. Hopefully I can find the matches this year after they whiten up a bit

And here is the best set that me and a friend found, an awsome 5x5 buck with matching cheaters we guestemate him to be 30-33 inchs wide from cheater to cheater. Also if you look in the first pic right behind this set is this bucks sheds from about 2 years before, the cheaters come off in the exact same spot on both sets, both right's were about 150 yards apart and both lefts were about 200 yards apart, and both rights were about 500 yards from the lefts. I though that was cool.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-07-08 AT 09:52PM (MST)[p]that's one heck of a pile. Congrats. Are all these utah horns? Your shed in the second to last picture looks very similar to this horn in my opinion. Huge backs, long G2, not so great fronts and no eyeguard. Maybe its the same buck from a different year?

Brow, how did you know I was going to offer to take you shed hunting, you must be some kind of freak mind reader.....

neverstop, most of these sheds are from utah, there are some from colorado as well. Those two sheds are alot alike, what area of the state did you find yours in, this one come from the NE part.

Thanks Littlefoot, I Found one 6x8 315" set, and a two 6x6 sets 315",and 300", and a few small 5x and 6x sets. The biggest singles was a 330 class 6 point horn, and a 7 point and a 6 point in the 320 Range.

How many did you find this year. I know you spend alot of time out there looking for the bulls and there sheds. Thanks for always shareing your picture's with us.

Hey, Browning thats cool, I only found two sets that day, it was a nice 6x6 set and a smaller 5x6, but I was in the trees when I found the bigger set I dont think you saw me pick that set up. How many sheds did you end up with that day, we had 17. I cant wait for spring ether, Where are you from if you dont mind me asking.

Jake we found about eight or nine a piece. Biggest six point single was probably 290 - 300 class. I seen you come out of the trees with the bigger set looked like they had pretty good backs. My brother said he watched you pick up a decent single. I'm from the basin

Hey, this most of the sheds we found that day minus a few old rag horns I threw in the trees.

The big 6x6 set scored 315, your brother saw me pick up the 6 point side to the other set in the pic.

We only found one brown 5 point rag horn, the rest were small 6 point sheds. You guys must of found all the matchs, to are's.

Did you guys hike in from the top of the ridge or did you come from the bottom like us.I had tryed getting in there a few days earlyer and it was snowed in at the top. So we hiked in from the bottom.

I wish i could of got a hold of you before i sold them all this year. We were parked just down the road from you guys and hiked from the bottom. your old man kicks ass for making that hike with you.We spent the night on the ground out there and found a bunch of rags in the road first thing that morning.I had an archery tag out there this year and seen alot of great bulls cant wait for them horns to hit the ground.

LOL, thats nothing for him, Hes one of the tuffest 56 year old's I know.

You had any archery tag out there huh, how did you do you should post a pick if you got one.

I'm still trying for a rifle deer tag, and then I will be putting in for archery elk out there, still got a few years though.

My cousin's husband had a late rifle hunt out there and I helped him with that we saw a ton of bulls, I cant wait for them to start sheding.
