i just found this one but its cool to see his offspring. i found a brown this spring same area that has to be from this bull they both have a very big ridge on the outside of the main beem between his royal and his fifth like he wanted to take off with a cheater i had to dig out the fifth with a pocket knife the ceder was growing around it this horn has got to be 15-20 years old people that say horns only last a few years are full of it i have horns that have set outside all year long for ten years in my possesion and they were garden horns when i found them my old man has horns that have set outside for 20+ years and were garden horns when he found them im no expert but they just dont dissapear because there in the mt. they get the same weather and sun being in a flower garden

That is way cool. I also found a elk antler that is very old. The antler was so old you could barley see the burr. It is better than going home with nothing.
 
The mossy look makes for good character. Yeah, I've found a few that have been buried under fallen trees for awhile. Nice finds!
