I went up to pick up all those un-matched from a few days ago and couldn't get up due to snow so searched the lower sage, they were everywhere for 2 hrs I got 17 fresh then got socked in with heavy snow and found 0 more. If it had held off I would almost certainly have set a personal /day record for fresh elk. (23) I did find a high honey hole of fresh deer on the way in and got 6 more of those counting a deadhead as 2.

The dogs found me 2 more fresh shed spikes but as they ate them on the mountain I didn't count them in my total. Only 2 of these match up so if it ever melts off ... oh my what fun will be had, might need a pack animal or 3.

Jack Pot Jack pot you are hitting it right.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

The chance of that big buck making it thru our last winter was almost 0%. But i've heard of nobody finding him or his sheds and I walked the draw where I last saw him hanging with 20 other bucks and there were no sheds or deads. So who knows for sure? The deadhead isn't really that big of a buck high 150's maybe, but in that pic he looks big.

I hope to see him in your 2012 winter pics, he was a real good looking buck. Goodluck matching up your sheds.

Squirrel you are the shed finding man right now! congrats and keep posting please! Find the horn Goose!

Sweet pile. I'd be expecting company in the next few years with all the pictures and bragg'n you're doing. ;-)

Bambi, this is Co with OTC tags and an orange ball under every tree for 3 months of the fall, and still they live on. There's a reason- tough country. As for company horn hunting, there's plenty of that too but I get luckier the more I sweat.
