LAST EDITED ON Apr-26-12 AT 00:36AM (MST)[p]Hey ya'll i talked to some locals around my school and got some good info on where to go to "see" some moose well first time i went out i picked up my very first moose shed ever and i think its really nice but not sure. never found one before haha. but i've seen a decent amount. so i scored it and it scores 44" on its own which puts it right at 130" with a 40" spread which i think is a bit low for this bull. that puts him only 10" below boone. btw its a shiras moose shed.
22" palm length, 9" palm width, 7 points, 6" base
went back a couple times with no luck on the pair or any new sheds so i got on google earth to spot some other spots that looked good. never thought it would work but figured it was worth a try. so i went into the area that looked good and it looked great. saw 4 moose and found these all within 100 yards of eachother. the big one and the one that doesnt have the wider paddle were within 10 yards. shiras moose again.
i think the one is a monster but still not positive. i am just a little confused on one part of his score which makes it 5" different per side. so the lower score that i know is totally legal is 155 with a 40" spread which i put him around 50". and i know 155" makes the all time records which is where a 200" typical deer goes. so any insight to how big these sheds really are. the other two score 140" with 40" spreads, right at boone.

Big one is one year old i think, maybe two. other two are three years i'm guessing
i'll add in some ATL's too.
find the shed, not very hard
those are all the bigger palmed one but not the monster.
here is the monster.
and the other one.
sorry no atl's of fresh one. i got them but not downloaded yet. i will try to post them soon. its a pretty cool atl. only one tine sticking out of a pretty good pile of snow.
so there are my first four moose sheds found within the past week. any help on realizing how big or small these sheds really are would be helpful since i can only reference them to eachother and they are all close in size except one. Thanks. So overall thank you google earth and locals. Also i think i better thank the shed gods for those three in one day.
