moose shed prices

Does anyone know the price per pound for good brown moose sheds?

I just got done asking some antler buyers where I live about a paddle I found. It's 8 pounds and decent looking. It's new. I got offered anywhere from $14 to $17 dollars/lb. That was until I showed them how it stood up so perfectly. It would be an excelent piece for a unique carving. Then I got offers of $20/lb. For the right guy I bet I could maybe get a tad more. I'm keeping it though. I was just curious what it was worth.

There really isn't a per pound price for them when they are large or unique. Just watch e-bay and you will be astounded at what people are selling them for.

I just bought a GORGEOUS 15 lb, 14 point Canadian Moose shed. The total with shipping was $262.66, so per pound it cost me around $17.50. I feel like I got an incredible deal on a great shed, so $20/lb is not unreasonable especially if it was special like a perfect self stander or extremely large. For smaller or not so attractive sheds $10-$12 per pound is reasonable. The older stuff that is faded, cracked, chewed, broken, etc is worth substantially less and is nearly impossible to get rid of if you're trying to sell.
