I posted this on the Moose forum too but.. After 11 years I got lucky and drew Wyoming Moose unit 25. I'm hunting with a rifle and the season runs Oct.1 - 31. Unit 25 is a little lower elevation than most (the big valley between the Wyoming and Wind River ranges)and the Moose tend to hang mostly in the Green and New Fork River bottoms. I'll be hunting private land with little other pressure. I was wondering your opinion on the best week to go ? Some have said go the first week aand catch the rut while others have said go later and hope for colder weather, some snow, and no leaves on the willows so you can see 'em. What do you think ?
