After taking a big Safari yesterday on an Antelope Quest on the way back to the pick-up I noticed this off in the distance and used it as a reference point to retrieve my goat..to my surprise it ended up being this...

LAST EDITED ON Sep-11-11 AT 07:29AM (MST)[p]Now I see how the fresh notch got on your rifle.

It looks like your Antelope isn't the only thing to die on that site. Pretty cool piece of history.

I like it. Even though life was hard and people died young, I still wish I lived back then.

That is neat. I've only been cruising around these mountains for but a few years and have found the american history of the west is prevalent almost everywhere. Most of the time in places ya least expect. Thanks for sharing and noce goat ya got there too!

Looks like a nice lope in the back of the pickup. Good looking dog Longun. A fitting tribute to the hardy men and women who settled the American West. Good to know that they are still remembered.
