I'm thinking of switching to these broadheads. I've heard some good things about them, but they seem really pricy. They are about $10 each, even on eBay.

Can anybody offer some thoughts or help?

Thanks

In a word- Awesome. Definately worth the price. They are about $35 for 3, but I love them. they fly awesome, and last year's bull never stood a chance.

The Montec are tough broadheads and they are very sharp. The only thing is they don't always fly like field points. Montec offers some "practice tips" which are the G5's, just not very sharp. The actual broadheads are too expensive to shoot for practice (at least for me they are) so it is recommendable to get the practice heads, which aren't as much money. Over-all, one of the best heads on the market, IMHO.

I just tried some. Wacked a Javelina, which is not much of test, but they worked well. I was resharpening and could not get the tip as sharp as before but it was much sharper than the point of my Thunderheads or Steelheads.

I use G5's as well and would never use another broadhead again. They are super sharp out of the package fly great and can be resharpened easily. The pracice dull ones are also great.

Try Archery Experts I think I get em for $27 for 3.

I bought a pack last fall to try out,and they they flew awesome, but they whistled while in flight. Anybody else have this problem? I just couldn't handle it and ended up with Rocky Mountain Titanium 100's. I will never shoot another broadhead again, they flew great and super tough.

Thanks for all of the thoughts. I'll try some and hopefully stick one through the ribs of a big buck or two this fall.
