moab question

I was just wondering if theres places down by moab u can just pull in throw a sleeping bag out and camp without getting a ticket. I just looked up the hotel prices for all of them down there and boy pretty expensive so any advice would be good planning on going down april 6,7,8 thanks MM.

If you are thinking for jeep safari most available spaces will be picked already. Free and jeep safari don't go hand in hand.

However, stay out of town on the BLM and there are no problems. Stay off the river as most camp grounds are pay to stay and there is only camping in campgrounds on the river. Plus this is extreme hippyville. Head south of town past Hole in the Rock or out by the small town of Lasal. Also north of town out by the airport and the back side of Arches.

There are lots of places outside of jeep safari...

my mother in law lives in moab. so its were the devil lives. I AM NOT KIDDING!!!!!!

There is a rest area near hole in the rock. I wouldn't sleep outside my rig though.
