Missoula Shed Hunting

Finally arrived to attend UMT. Is there anyone out there who will be shedding in the area. I'm dying to get out, but I fear that my honda car won't quite get me to the job site!! If anyone knows of anyone, shoot me an e-mail... [email protected]

good luck with your honda, you'd be amazed how far you can get that little car. i use my '91 toyota camry to get to my shed areas as much as i can, especially with today's gasoline prices!

you should post "willing to help pack out elk quarters this fall for info on shed hunting next spring", you might get more people to respond. heh heh

It gets picked pretty clean around here anymore, I would suggest looking at the areas most people drive by without checking over (above I90 and right above campus) Go Griz!

you better be kidding, i graduated of U of M in 99 and while i was there i found very little. loved to be able to sit in the library and watch the muleys and whities while trying to study. I ran into a guy in 98 that by march of that spring had already hit every spot he likes for 100 to 150 mile radius of missoula it was his "part time job". all i can say is good luck. i did not have a lot of time due to studies but when i went out it was hard to find much. as for above campus too many people and too many deer in yards at night. new one guy that would find some in his yard every year he told me. he lived on south east end of town. good luck sorry not much help

I might give that a try..... I've got a '90 Acura with high milage, I've got to talk nice to here everyday to keep her running. Well maybe not, but I don't know if I trust it in the mountains. Anyway, I might take your advise.. When it comes to shed hunting a person will do anything...well almost anything!!
