I learn something new every day here

There was a mink farm a couple miles from my place back in the 60's. When they quit they just let the mink out. I still see mink once in awhile along the road. I saw one about a month ago. I don't see any muskrats.

Saw something similar on the news a few years ago. They used weasels to clean up barn rats on a chicken farm. Fast killers!

I have to admit, I was sort of rooting for muskrat at times.

When he said he does it for the meat I thought he meant for human consumption. I have eaten bbq'd muskrat before. Their are better protein sources out there. It tastes a little like I would expect mudhen to taste.
