Midnight snack

Ok for anyone in the market for a midnight snack here is what I just did. Take a Stauffer's fettucini alfredo, and microwave for 3 minutes. Then you're going to take a package of 2011 venison backstraps and defrost. Once defrosted put them in a fry pan, season with cajun seasoning to taste, add some garlic clove and red pepper, virgin olive oil, cover and place on high heat. Turn every 45 seconds until cooked to medium rare. Remove from fry pan and empty contents of Stauffer's dish onto plate. Add desired portions of back straps to plate. Cover steaks in shredded sharp cheddar/jack cheese. Add a sprig of parsley and glass of whatever is left over of the merlot. Enjoy.

1911,
I'm coming over tonight at midnight. Can I bring anything?
Maybe Paul_C can bring the cookies. It all sounds good.

And Bess, Hell yes on the medium-rare. No reason to ruin backstraps! Medium is for kids!

"Medium is for kids" and well done becomes dog meat.!! LOL.

My lab(and she eats almost everything)won't even eat well done venison.I have to feed it to feral cats.

Kinda brings back memories 1911. I worked swing shift in a plywood mill for 5 years. Hard physical work (not sitting in a cop car eating donuts and spot lighting neighborhood deer). Anyhow, I would be starved when I got home at 1 am. I used to eat everything in the refer I remember.

I gotta quit posting after two drinks!
