Here's a chance to give your 2cents !!!

LAST EDITED ON Feb-24-15 AT 04:08PM (MST)[p]The last few I've attended in Laramie had less than 15 people...the one about a month ago had 5 total.

I heard the last meeting in Baggs had ONE (1) person attend.

Judging by the turn-out that happens at these meetings, I have concluded that Resident Hunters don't care about their own sport. They would rather watch re-runs of nascar, Gilligans Island, and the A-team than take time to attend a meeting.

Sad, but true.

If I don't have to work I plan to attend. I encourage others to attend as well.
Thanks for the positive thoughts Buzzy.

Apathy in the hunting community mirrors everything else and why our country is on a downhill slide. I've been sending emails to the G&F as I get time this week on the various Regs. in between emails to Legislators on the 60/40 flip!

Rambo,

Should I lie and say that the meetings are standing room only?

Would that make you feel better?

LAST EDITED ON Feb-25-15 AT 10:21AM (MST)[p]The reason no one attends is because the state is going to always do 4 things:

1. Sell too many tags
2. Not listen to individual hunters
3. Only listen to groups (WY Guides Ass., ect)
4. Whine about how broke they are

They already have their minds made up about how a unit will be managed- Trophy or Opportunity

Number one reason is Hunter apathy...and by a landslide.

The good thing is, when nobody else shows up, you have the floor...

Met with the GF yesterday and doing so again today, they're pretty darn accessible to the public IMO.
