Mediums...Do you believe?

My wifes friend went down to Los Angeles the other day because she wanted to have a connection with her husband who has passed. The husband was a cop up in Palo Alto and was murdered...shot dead during a foot pursuit, while on the job by a lowlife thug...shot dead during a foot pursuit. They have a couple of daughters and the youngest one lately has been having a very hard time with her Dad being gone. The wife thought it would be a good idea to try to make contact with the husband.
While the medium was "with" the husband, she mentioned another cop that died of a prescription drug overdose (my wifes brother). My bro in law and the shot cop used to be partners where we live. That is the connection between the two families. She continued to say that they are up there helping raise his nephew who died as a baby (my son, Hunter). My wife has never met the medium and hre friend has never mentioned anything about our family issues. How would this medium know this stuff? I beleive...

Mediums are con artists and it really helps that we want to believe. The day a medium walks up to me and tells me the last thing my dad told me and gives me his social security number I may start to believe them. Other than that I am very sorry for your friends's loss and I really hope things level out for the kids. It is impossible for this tragedy to not completely change the course of those children's lives but I pray it is for the better.

I have always looked at mediums as generalizers. They can make a general comment and the person they are saying it to makes the connection. Here, there was another cop that died and she nailed it on how he died. How would she also generalize about a baby dying? I think it is too coincidental. Not sure....
