At the bottom of page 2 there are a couple photos of Americans and Russians together. My Dad was around there somewhere. He said the Russians were all celebrating and drinking and wanted to party but they had orders to be friendly to the Russians but not mix with them. He said the Russians were put off about it.
Shortly after that he was headed back to the States and began training for the invasion of Japan. We all know that never happened.

Eel... Thank You for sharing that. I deeply wish I could stand along side of Your Father and ask him a Million Questions about... well frankly everything he saw and experienced in WWII. I would then ask about his working and Family life's memories in our State. A Great State indeed... no matter how the modern jokes fly. California has been very good to America. I better stop... I see Tomatoes being thrown... I gotta Duck.
